Saw to Sever Gamer Fingers
Today the first word came from the upstart Brash Entertainment (via Variety) as to what games it’s going to be working on, and a game based on the Lionsgate Saw series topped the list.
Brash Entertainment has a distribution deal with Warner Bros Interactive and will be focusing exclusively on licensed games with a heavy focus on movie licenses. With a reported dozen movie-based titles in the works, speculation puts the Saw game as one of their first, likely with a release date this autumn as close to that October release date of Saw 4 as possible.
Saw is obviously a hot property, and with three highly successful films in the series to date, it’s unsurprising that its name is being tapped for a video game. Quite what kind of game Saw would lend itself to isn’t inherently obvious, but I would personally hope for a dark, puzzle-heavy adventure game.
There is currently no word on what kind of game we can look forward to, or indeed which independent developer Brash has tapped for the project, but as ever we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears wide open. As soon as we know more on this, you’ll know more on this!
