Pulse Sequels Details

First details on Pulse sequelsNot that I feel it’s anything to be ashamed of, but I’ve never seen the remake of Kyoshi Kurosawa’s brilliant ghost film Pulse, which according to most was one of the worst atrocities of this whole Asian remake trend. So I don’t feel like I missed much.

No matter that everyone hated it, Dimension is moving forward with their plan for two direct-to-DVD sequels, and has brought on board direct-to-DVD sequel king Joel Soisson to direct them both. Bloody Disgusting nabbed a lot of details about both films recently, which are set to shoot back to back this summer.

And you know what? I kind of like where they’re going with them. The first of the two, Pulse: Afterlife sees humans trying to learn to live with ghosts and without technology, while Pulse: Invasion sees us reduced to a primitive lifestyle and follows a girl’s attempts to be less of a burden to her adoptive parents while avoiding anything electrical.

Sure they’re not the greatest ideas in the world, but they can’t be worse than the remake apparently was, can they? Check out the B-D link above for the full details on both films!
