Pulse 3 & Eden Lake DVD News

More ghostly nudity?December 23rd is the day when we'll all get what we wanted for Christmas: Pulse 3 on DVD! If Pulse 2 (review) taught us anything, it's that some of us would rather get coal this holiday season. Don't blame me for the bad news, look at Fangoria, they broke it.

Pulse 3 is set years after the first sequel where the now-teenage Justine is "living in a primitive settlement in a world overrun by technologically unleashed phantoms. When she discovers a working laptop, her curiosity leads her to unleash a new spectral nightmare."

In terms of special features Creepy will only have to sit through a behind-the-scenes featurette with this DVD when he reviews it, so maybe he'll be able to keep his sanity intact.

In far better news, James Watkins' first directing gig, Eden Lake will be hitting the store shelves just after the New Year on January 6th. The tale of a couple ravaged by a rough gang of teenagers will come packed with a commentary from the director and a making-of featurette.

Can't wait to see how they explain how the laptop's battery is still good after sitting for years.

I will be avoiding Pulse 3 like the plague, but I will be there to pick up Eden Lake on January 6. I just can't wait for Dimension Extreme to announce when Martyrs is coming out next year.
