Outside for Overture

What are the three most important things in real estate? Location, lack of a doorway to a parallel dimension, and location. Any realtor will tell you the same.

Perhaps the family at the center of Outside, a new thriller Daily Variety announced this morning as a part of Overture Films’ new setup with Lawrence Bender Productions, didn’t go to a first time homebuyers class, then. Ronnie (Passangers) Christensen will direct the film, about a broken family who discover that their new house holds a gateway to a past dimension. But obviously, not in a good way.

Outside is only one of two new films being setup by Overture, who have plans in place for 8 to 12 productions and/or acquisitions per year, which they can do because they’re a division of Starz and Straz, as you might be aware of, have got a good chunk of change right now. As long as they can make some genuinely scary movies with some of it, more power to ‘em.
