New Pics From Saw V Set!
Saw V ... who knew we'd actually see so many sequels to a small and twisted horror film that surfaced back in 2004? In the sequels that followed, we've seen a real split between horror fans who like and dislike the franchise. Will the fourth sequel bring them together in happy harmony?
Well, Saw V may be heading in a different direction than its previous entries with the addition of a new Jigsaw and new motives. It all rests on the shoulders of first-time director David Hackl now, but until the film comes out, we'll just have to wait and stare at pretty pictures.
And I've got a couple of them for you today because Hackl's IMDB page has been updated with 4 shots from the set of Saw V. Don't worry; there are no real spoilers ... unless you thought Billy the Puppet wasn't going to be back or something to that effect.
Saw V will open in theatres across America on October 24th.

For a while now you’ve been reading about Red here on Dread Central, and finally as its release date approaches, we’re getting more and more to talk about. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our Red review from Fantasia, which will hopefully make you look forward to it even more.

I know there's a lot of people that like the Saw franchise, and think it's revitalizing horror, but when a studio is hellbent on making and releasing a movie every year, and finding new ways to keep propelling the franchise forward until it eventually collapses under it's own weight...well, I can't get behind that.
The poster's cool, though.

I think the first 3 "Saw"s make a nice little trilogy (with III being the best of the bunch IMO).
But I just felt insulted the whole time I was watching IV, so V (or VI, or VII, or XXV, for that matter) won't be getting my hard-earned dollars.

What is this 'Saw' you speak of?
Just kidding. I saw the first two movies. Despite the presence of Shawnee Smith and a New Kid on the Block, part II finished it for me. I'm had my fill!
