"You'll meet this guy, have a beer with him, or whatever; a month later, you'll wake up and take everybody out at the car dealership where you bought your car.” That’s how The Objective director Daniel Myrick explains what happens when one has a run-in with the lead in the new film he’s planning, Savant.
Speaking with Sci Fi Wire, Myrick explained that the film’s about a man who has the uncanny ability to make you do whatever he wants, ”thus turning the people into mass murderers, [by] doing nothing more than having a regular conversation." Man, I’d get people to do far more interesting things than mass murder, let me tell ya.
Myrick’s been working on Savant for a few years now and told the site he hopes to have it rolling by spring. This will be, in his words, ”the biggest thing I've done so far." We will, of course, be watching the film’s progress and keep you informed!
The Objective is in select theaters starting today via IFC Films; hit their official site to track down if it’s playing near you!
