At last year’s first annual Fear Fest, Patick Melton, Marcus Dunstan and John Gulager were all in attendance to discuss their work on Feast, but they also showed the crowd the trailer for Midnight Man, a new film the trio were working on getting off the ground.
A year later and all is going well for the feature, according to co-writer Melton who recently chatted up Fangoria about it. They’re about two weeks into pre-production, running into the usual low budget horror issues, but happy that it will finally see the light of day. Dunstan will be making his directorial debut on the film.
Midnight Man is the story of an ex-con who breaks into a well-to-do family’s mansion to steal some good stuff but instead finds his wife and daughter tied up and a series of elaborate traps built around the house to prevent him from getting to them too quickly.
Gary Tunnicliffe, who created the Feast beasts, will be on-hand as their makeup effects expert for Man, which will shoot in a house in Shreveport, LA, the same town most of Feast 2 and Feast 3 were shot in. Cameras roll on February 11th.
Stay tuned for more Feast and Midnight Man goodies soon!
