New York Comic Con is packed wall to wall with celebrities, entertainment companies, toy makers and comic geniuses. When you aren't being herded down the aisles, you can sit in a hall to hear the latest on your favorite projects from TV, comics, toys, movies, video games and beyond. (yes there is a beyond!) Diamond Select was one such company and among news on their babies, the Marvel Minimates, they gave some insight on future Marvel Zombies product. Being the only company to make anything from this hot property, we were all ears.
Well, the news is there is no news. It seems that Marvel is worried about the image of their characters and would not like them seen in stores as un-dead flesh eaters, so there will be no more rotting flesh for us. Understandable! When you have a rapist called Purple Man, Hulk shooting Abomination in the head at close range, Captain America being capped, also at close range (which got more news headlines than the little war we are in), and daily instances of Marvel characters beating each other bloody, including hero on hero battles ... you have to be careful about giving the American public the wrong idea.
Wise-cracking zombie Marvel characters ... no more toys for you.

That would be interesting considering Batman never kills. Perhaps the game would be a better sell if the MK warriors were only fighting DC villains. That would solve the rating problem since I doubt anyone would have a problem with Mr. Freeze or the Joker fatalities.

Meanwhile, DC comics apparently has licensed THEIR characters to star in a future Mortal Kombat game, which they have INSISTED be rated no more than T for TEEN.
