Lionsgate Onboard Fearnet

As you can probably imagine if you’ve been around for a while now, this makes me smile.

Variety is reporting this morning that Lionsgate has jumped onboard Fearnet, the horror-themed Video on Demand service set to launch on October 31st. The service is a venture between Sony and Comcast, the first of its kind, and will effectively serve as a horror-themed channel, though it won’t be nearly as cool as Monsters HD if you ask me…

The movies, which will draw from both Sony’s and Lionsgate’s massive libraries, will be free to Comcast subscribers, with all the money being generated through ads. Not exactly ideal for horror fans (that would be Monsters HD, commercial free and sexy as hell), but a far cry better than what we have now.

Keep it here for more info on Fearnet as we learn it, and look for Fearnet.com to launch the same time as the service does!
