When you think about places prone to falling victim to killer bee attacks you usually think South and Central America, Mexico, and parts of the Southern and Southwestern United States. Japan is not a place you think about when you think about killer bees. But that’s about to change with the impending DVD release of the Japanese nature gone amok flick Killer Bees.
On January 27th, AD Vision will release the 2005 chiller Killer Bees, or Satsujinbachi – kirâ bî as it is known in its native country. Yeah, I can see why they would change that title for the American DVD release.
Death has a thousand stings – Get ready for a winged detour into toxic terror as a group of Japanese students on a field trip encounter a mutant strain of killer bees! Swarming, possessed of a mutant intelligence and deadly stings that cause the human body to explode from within, the bees seem to be hunting the surviving girls, picking them off one by one! But as horrifying as each venom-pulsing stab of death may be, the worst is yet to come!
“Hunting the surviving girls” … Geez, I hope this doesn’t turn out to be one of those Japanese sex flicks where even the insects turn out to be perverts obsessed with school girl panties.
DVD extras will include a “making of” feature, a photo gallery, and the original Japanese trailer.
