Okay, by a show of hands … who is ready for more tourists getting sliced up because they meandered into the waiting clutches of foreign psychos? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Bloody-Disgusting got word earlier today that early talks have begun on the next sequel on the block, Hostel III, and franchise creator Eli Roth will not be writing or directing.
I don’t know about this one. I’m in the minority here, but I liked Hostel and Hostel Part II. Part of what made them work was Roth’s insanity. I fear putting the series in someone else’s hands will turn it into just another quickie torture-porn fiasco. Then again, maybe new blood will breathe some new life into the flicks. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
