Host Star in Park's Vampire Film!
We’re still waiting for Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance) to sit down with someone, anyone, and dish all the details about his upcoming horror movie, which as been called both Bat and Evil Live (the second of which is more common and I like better). Until such an interview happens all we can tell you is that it’s a vampire movie, sort of, and the first bit of casting has been done for it.
Not that it would come as a surprise to anyone who follows the man’s work, but Song Kang Ho (The Host, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance) has been handed a role in the forthcoming film, which Park will begin production on very soon now that his romantic comedy, I’m a Cyborg and That’s Okay is in the can.
Early reports on KFCC indicate that Song will portray a priest who has been infected with the vampiric curse that courses throughout the movie. I’m sure we’ll have more details, as well as solid word on what the English title will be, in your grubby hands very soon so don’t move!
