Hopkins Plays Wolfman Daddy?

This came up yesterday, but for some reason I skipped right over it when I found it. Strange since The Wolfman remake is one of my most anticipated movies of next year.
Sir Anthony Hopkins (we get sued if we don’t use the “Sir”) was chatting with Rotten Tomatoes UK recently and revealed that he’s in talks to possibly play Benicio del Toro’s father in the Wolfman redux, which is being helmed by One Hour Photo director Mark Romanek. “[My agent] said he just wants to make sure that the deal is all in, but I play the Wolfman’s father in Paris. A wonderful part.”
Especially after shite like Fracture, right? Right. As soon as the script is in hand and he decides if he’ll do it, we’ll be able to let you know. The Wolfman is currently looking at a November 14th, 2008 (!) release date, so don’t expect any fast and furious updates any time soon.
