Heed the Call

Just a quick heads up; Twitch Film got word that the official site for Jorge Olguin’s Call of the Sea is now online.

The film gained some notoriety when it was announced because Guillermo del Toro was backing it as producer. If that’s not enough to make you curious about it, Santiago Cabrera, who plays Issac Mendez on "Heroes", stars in Call, as well, so I'm sure fans of the show will be more willing to check it out. The film is about a woman who travels to a remote island in search of a cure for her rare disease and learns of a legendary ghost ship that has some very odd effects on the island’s residents.

Olguin (pictured), you may recall, was recently signed on to direct the adaptation of what many consider the first survival horror game, Clock Tower, which will be his U.S. debut. Call of the Sea is his third feature, following Angel Negro and Sangre Eterna. Click here to check out the site!
