Yup, that picture up top is the first ever photo of Derek Mears as the Camp Crystal Lake Killer, according to Bloody Disgusting. This image comes courtesy of this week’s edition of Entertainment Weekly, but I hope it’s bigger in the magazine. It is kind of hard to tell, but Jason does appear to be wearing his signature hockey mask … but he also looks to be sporting a tan. Odd.

Platinum Dunes’ Friday the 13th, under the direction of TCM and Pathfinder director Marcus Nispel, will be in theatres on February 13, 2009, where the mysterious Mr. Voorhees will hunt down and slaughter a group of beautiful young camp counselors.
