Englund Helms Gogol's Vij
I know we ran a story long ago about Robert Englund directing another adaptation of Nikolaj Gogol's "The Vij", but it vanished. At least I know I didn't make it up because Daily Variety confirmed today that Mr. Krueger will be helming the project and principal photography is scheduled to begin in April.
Robert will also star in the picture opposite Christopher Lee and Olga Schuvalova in this tale about "an evil genie who conditions the actions of a young priest, leading him to commit murder and fall in love with an old witch who is actually not what she seems."
Be sure to check out our interview with Robert Englund about his latest directorial endeavour, Killer Pad (review).

NEXT STORY
M. Night Shyamalan’s first R-rated venture, The Happening, will be upon us before we know it (well, June 13th to be precise). It’s never too early for the hype machine to start running, though, as is evidenced by iKlipz’ acquisition of the first Happening trailer. Though plot details are being kept under wraps, we know it’s about a family on the run from a crisis that could be a large-scale threat to humankind. Check out the trailer below!
