Two more names have entered the Last House on the Left remake this morning according to Variety; Tony Goldwyn (The Last Samurai) and Monica Potter (pictured, Saw).
Though their roles are unknown from the press release, all the press about the remake has implied that the criminals at the heart of the film (lead by Garret Dillahunt), after torturing and humiliating a teenage girl, will “leave her for dead” instead of “shooting her where she stands” like they did in the original, which is a pretty significant change if you ask me.
Shooting on the Last House remake gets underway this month in South Africa (?) with Dennis Iliadis at the helm. Obviously we’re keeping a close eye on this one since I can’t wait to hear about other changes they made in the interest of commercializing it.
