Burton’s Dark Shadows Uncertain

I wonder if there will come a time where Tim Burton and Johnny Depp just admit they’re the same person. I know it’s true, I’ve seen Burton shape-shift into Depp and vice versa, but the public at large just calls me “crazy”. What’s my point? Oh, right, the long-proposed Dark Shadows movie…
Recently an article in Entertainment Weekly referred to the soap-to-film project as being “kaput for now”, while Burton, who would of course direct since he and Depp are the same person (it’s a Scientology cover up) had this to say when asked about the film when talking to the LA Times; “Oh I don’t know. Take one at time, you know? It’s something I’m interested in of course. Definitely.”
So it is happening or it’s not happening? Perhaps we’ll never know until the cameras roll. Or don’t. Right now Burton is prepping his Alice in Wonderland adaptation starring himse, er, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter (who I’m pretty sure was a conjoined twin to Depp/Burton), so we’ll have to wait for at least that to wrap up before more talk of Barnabas Collins goes down.
