Braunbeck & Newton Show Faces

Dread Central learned today that filmmaker Earl Newton has teamed up with author and DC friend Gary A. Braunbeck to bring us a short movie called "One of Those Faces", an adaption of Braunbeck's short story "Rami Temporales", which you will be able to check out right here on or around June 19th, 2007!

In Gary's own words, "Earl and I have been discussing the adaptation for several weeks, and I am relieved to tell all of you that he and I are on the same wavelength; while a lot of the story is internal, Earl has come up with some dandy visual ways to externalize these elements. He's been more than receptive to suggestions from me.

I can tell you that certain elements of the story have been altered, a couple of the scenes will be appearing in a different order, but the spine, tone, characters, and theme remain solidly intact."
