Bekmambetov Wanted no Dusk?
Timur Bekmambetov, the talented fellow who brought us the Russian awesomeness known as Night Watch and Day Watch, may not be returning to round out the series.
STYD asked the director, who just finished up helming the action-thriller Wanted, what his plans were in regards to Dusk Watch (AKA Twilight Watch). His response was anything but positive: "I never read a script for 'Dusk Watch' and we'll see what will happen. I'm kind of done with these kinds of movies. Not action movies, but conspiracy theory/action/tragedies."
I've got a feeling that Bekmambetov may change his tune if Wanted smashes the box office on June 27th. Sure, a sequel to that film may be the first to come, but to keep his name in the lights we may just see the second sequel follow soon after that.

IMP Awards received a new poster for the upcoming Hellboy sequel, The Golden Army. This marks the 12th poster we've seen so far, and it is the sexiest. Well ... as sexy as you can get with a guy painted red standing next to Selma Blair.

I fell asleep halfway through Night Watch, in the theater no less. Speaking as an insomniac I think he should finish off the series as a public service.

Hmmm, good point. I didn't realize that there was no third book. I just assumed there was.

How do you do two movies in a trilogy, and not do the finish?
