Bad Girls Become Lost

Bad Girls becomes Lost GirlsNothing better than privileged girls having to fight for their lives in the Bahamas, I’ve always said. Cause you know, since they’re privileged they always are going to have the best bikinis. Yes, thank you.

So no surprise MTV Films would scoop up such a premise, buying up the rights to the Alex McAulay’s teen suspense novel Bad Girls, but giving it the much less confusing title of The Lost Girls, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Newbie writer Holly Brix has been brought on board to pen the script, working off of McAulay’s novel.

The story follows some girls of high social standing who are sent to a reformatory school in the Bahamas (must be nice). When they’re sent out on what is supposed to be a standard nature hike, things go very wrong and soon they’re fighting for their lives, fashionable bikinis and all. Brix is also the writer behind an interesting sounding horror flick called Mile Zero, about a girl who takes a job on an Alaskan oil rig to prove that it’s haunted in the hopes of clearing her father’s name, who’s suspected of committing multiple murders.

We’ll keep our eyes and ears out for more on both Lost Girls and Mile Zero and report back as soon as we hear more!
