Antichrist Goes to Germany

Well, we still don’t really know a lot about Lars Von Trier’s Antichrist, despite having been reporting on it for over a year now, but at least we know it’s shooting in Germany this summer!

Variety learned this bit of info this morning, a good sign for a project that’s been touch and go since Von Trier first announced his plan to direct it. All we know is that the film focuses on a couple who retreat to a cabin in the woods to deal with the death of their child, and that the film is based on the theory that it was Satan, not God, who created the world of man.

Now we just have to figure out how those two elements come together ... MFA Plus Filmdistribution will handle the release of Antichrist in Germany, with TrustNordisk on the international sales front. Hopefully we’ll learn more soon!
