It’s not often one gets the chance to see a quality indie on the big screen for the first time, too often they’re relegated to DVD releases with no hope of being seen as the filmmakers intended. So when one comes along, we wanna let you know about it.
The film in question is Blood Oath (review), the disturbing story of a couple so desperate to conceive that they turn to witchcraft, with horrific results. Blood Oath has been selected as part of the New Filmmakers Series at the Anthology Film Archives in New York City, where it will screen on Halloween at 7:30pm. Tiffany Shepis stars alongside a case of first-timers in Blood Oath, which is reason enough to make your way out to see it if you ask me. She’s very … easy on the eyes, if you get me.
