Vincent getting the 3-D treatment, as wellThe other day (specifically here) we gave you a quick heads-up that Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D would be coming back to theaters this Halloween. Today we got both confirmation and some really cool news to tack on to it.

The Hollywood Reporter got word that Tim Burton’s 1982 classic stop-motion short “Vincent” is getting the 3-D treatment, as well, and will be featured in front of Nightmare this scare season. Buena Vista president of Domestic Distribution, Chuck Viane, confirmed that this is only the beginnings of their plans for future NBX releases, which further establishes our theory that this will be an annual event.

For those who have not had the pleasure of seeing it, “Vincent” is about a young boy who believes he’s Vincent Price and somehow manages to be both cute and spooky at the same time. Price did the narration for the film, a perfect touch that makes it unforgettable. Look for a 3-D “Vincent” in front of Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D this Halloween!
