Ciaran Foy’s ELI Starring Sadie Sink Slapped With R-Rating

Sadie Sink

Paramount Players first psychological horror movie Eli is directed by Ciaran Foy (Citadel and Sinister II) and is all set to haunt your local multiplex this January. We haven’t seen a trailer or poster yet but we do have an MPAA rating. So that’s something.

Yes, today we have word that the film has been rated R for “some horror violence/images.” Meh. I don’t like the use of the word “some.” But I guess “some” is better than “none.”

Are you excited for this new flick? Do you about MPAA ratings? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments section or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Foy directs from a screenplay by David Chirchirillo, Ian Goldberg, and Richard Naing. The film stars Kelly Reilly (10×10), Lili Taylor (Leatherface), Max Martini, and Sadie Sink (Stranger Things 2). Trevor Macy, John Zaozirny and Melinda Nishioka produce. Matt Alvarez executive produces.

It hits theaters January 4, 2019.

Synopsis:

A young boy undergoes treatment for a rare disease at a secluded clinic, which becomes a haunted prison with no way out.
