About three years ago Synapse Films' Don May, Jr., announced an estimated 45,000 feet of negative outtakes from John Carpenter's Halloween had been discovered. Things feel eerily silent, but today there's been a bit of an update, although it's not the kind we've been hoping for.
Just in case you missed his contribution to Lost Boys – The Tribe (it was, after all, after the credits), Corey Haim is locked and ready to star in another genre offering, this one for first-time director Travis Bowen.
Sometimes it seems horror filmmakers sit around and rack their brains trying to think of new locations, events, or occupations to base slasher movies around. We'll be the first to admit it ... we're kind of looking forward to the remake of the Eighties slasher The House of Sorority Row, now known simply as Sorority Row. Everything we've seen thus far has been pretty cool including this new teaser poster courtesy of Summit Entertainment.
Now this just warms our black little hearts. A couple of weeks ago we told you about the sequel to the remake of The Toolbox Murders, and now just days later the film has a site, a synopsis, a teaser poster, and one of the most badass and violent teaser videos I've seen in years. There's good reason to get excited folks! Praise be the sequel gods!
In case you're wondering why the news updates were so scarce here yesterday it was because we were in LA attending an industry screening for Dave Parker's The Hills Run Red. We do get to leave the office every now and again, ya know. It happens. I swear. Anyway -- wow, was this one worth the trip!
