Bill Murray made a surprise guest appearance at Fantastic Fest in Austin last week, and during the Q&A someone had the nerve to ask about Ghostbusters 3. Since he’s not quite as vocal about the series as Ramis or Aykroyd have been, hearing his comments on it pretty much solidified the whole thing for me.
It’s been a few months since we’ve heard anything more about The Gate: 20 Years Later, the proposed sequel to the 1987 Tibor Takacs film about kids who open a gate to hell in their backyard. While months of silence are usually normal for a Hollywood production as things fall into place, the news is sadly not good for this particular sequel.
Yes, that’s right, horror is dead. All right, maybe not dead exactly, if it were we’d be out of a job, but it’s certainly not looking too healthy. It's emaciated, too pale, and tufts of hair keep falling out.
Why anyone would want to sequelize the abysmal remake of The Amityville Horror (review) is beyond me, but at least it seems like those in charge are taking a page from the endless sequels to the original film and going the route of ridiculousness.

Finally, the movie you’ve all been waiting for is coming home! Fox has announced a December 2nd release date for the new classic X-Files: I Want to Believe (review) on both standard and Blu-ray DVD! All right, just a bit of sarcasm in there, sorry.
Some games just aren’t done justice by screenshots and Silent Hill Homecoming is one of them. Every time I see screens of the game, it tempers my excitement for it, but then I get to see new video footage, and it pushes my excitement right back up to max.
