To be honest, Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer was a surprise. Mixing horror with comedy and Robert Englund doesn't always pay off, but for me the only real flaw Brooks had was in the pacing. So, will we get to see director Jon Knautz tighten things up with a sequel?
Why, yes!

Jack Brooks Slays Fantastic Fest!
When I first heard about Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (review), I thought the film was going to be about a psychopath hunting down the likes of Rosie O'Donnell or Ulli Lommel. My mistake, but Jon Knautz did something neither of those two could do: entertain!

Event Report: Monster Mania 11
Man, I really dig this show. Yeah, it takes me between six and nine hours to get there and back, which means I really need to start going down a day early, but it’s worth it to hang out at one of the best-run and most well-attended conventions on the East Coast.

Jack Brooks: DVD Slayer!
Jack Brooks has one hell of a job. Who wouldn't want to beat the livin' hell out of monsters? That fantasy job may never exist, but at least we can watch someone else do it.
