This is a freaking GREAT season for horror fans. It's true that every fall sees the release of some great genre titles, but with films like The Stepfather, Messiah of Evil (making its first non-budget DVD debut), and, of course, Hardware receiving quality releases, it's truly a cause for celebration. Today Severin Films is attempting to whet our palates with a snippet from the 60-minute documentary offered on their Hardware disc...

The artwork for Richard Stanley's long sought after film Hardware has finally surfaced, and we kind of dig the minimalist approach even though, once again, there was nothing wrong with the original artwork to begin with.

Someone pinch us. We have to be dreaming! Wait ... we are awake? Badass! Joining the likes of Phantasm II and Night of the Creeps on the movies we never thought would see an official release onto DVD ever -- BUT ARE list is the Richard Stanley 1990 sci-fi/horror cult classic Hardware!

It is said that, back in the days before photography was a mainstay of the world at large, early practitioners of the art attempted to use a form of it to capture human souls. Of course, the only time the soul could be captured was when it was leaving its host body, and the only way that could happen is death, so said practitioners were not what one would call well regarded.

Of all the strange things Brian Yuzna’s name has been attached to over the years, an Indonesian trio of 3D films is probably the strangest yet. Yet, Variety is reporting that the Re-Animator producer is working through Komodo Film, another foreign company Yuzna owns, to develop all three.

Yes, it’s great that Richard Stanley stepped in and did a re-write on the script for Imago Mortis, the co-production from PixStar and Medusa Films that we last told you about here. In fact, if it weren’t for that element, this may have gone completely under our radar, despite the fact that Stefano Bessoni is helming it.
