The long-untitled Satanic project from Platinum Dunes and writer Scott Kosar (The Amityville Horror), which we last told you about back here, finally has a name according to the freaks at Sci Fi Wire; it's called The Sacrifice. Simple, to the point; I like it!
While doing a random check on the status of Lars von Trier’s Antichrist, we came across some intel that the film is now in post production and eyeballing a release date of September 11th, 2009, though it’s not clear if that’s in the U.S. or von Trier’s native Denmark.

Just got a heads up from the guys behind the upcoming indie film Satanic Panic, Marc Selz Productions, that a mask design used in the movie was just picked up by Chicago-based Zagone Studios for reproduction! Now this is just a badass poster. I know it’s simplistic and maybe doesn’t tell you much about the film (what poster does nowadays?), but that’s the reason I love it so much; it fits the mood of Ti West’s House of the Devil perfectly.
Just got in a selection of new stills from the upcoming horror movie House which, as you surely know by now, is based on the novel by Ted Dekker and Frank Perreti. Roadside Attractions will release House in theaters on Friday, October 31st!

Microbudget filmmaker Sonny Fernandez has pretty much been running what amounts to a production blog in the "INDIEcent" section of our message board on the filming of his latest feature The Last Battleground.
It seems there are more movies coming out this Halloween season that I’ve not heard hide nor hair of before. All off a sudden they have posters, trailers, interactive games, etc. Am I just unobservant or are these movies creeping up on us?
