Re-Animator
For those of you who have yet to see Stuart Gordon's superb 1985 Re-Animator and its 1989 sequel, Bride of Re-Animator, allow me to introduce you to Doctor Herbert West, the titular Re-Animator, portrayed by the one and only Jeffrey Combs. What is Combs up to these days? We were lucky enough to catch up with him for an exclusive interview to find out.
One of the best damned times we have had all year was spent seeing Re-Animator: The Musical on the stage in Los Angeles. It's a shame that the rest of the country is missing out on what is nothing short of a splattery good time; however, you can now at the very least get a sampling of the mayhem!
Good news for you folks in Los Angeles who have not witnessed the absolute mad genius that is Re-Animator The Musical! More dates have been added (including midnight shows) and more gore will be flowing freely! I'm STILL washing the blood off me! What an experience!
Hold on to your head (hardy, har, har)! Re-Animator - The Musical is upon us. At least, it is for you lucky sons of bitches with some sort of proximity to Los Angeles' Steve Allen Theater.
There is something in the air. Can you smell the sweet scent of lust? Be careful where you step, kids; things are bound to get extremely messy as we present to you some of our favorite and most inappropriate sex scenes that the horror genre has doled out over the years!
Be warned right now ...
Just a few months ago we reported on fledgling horror clothing company Creepy Tees’ phenomenal
Limited Edition Friday the 13th T-shirt, and owner Erik recently got in touch to treat us to some of their latest designs – the most wondrous of which is an amazing glow-in-the-dark Re-Animator shirt!
From the Press Release:
The line-up for the sixth annual Fantastic Fest (September 23-30) in Austin, Texas, is still coming together, but the powers-that-be have provided a few highlights of the exciting things to come in this year's program, and we already can't wait for the fall season!
This past weekend's Creation Weekend of Horrors was host to an amazing amount of sights and sounds, and we have a sampling of what you may have missed right here.
Click on the image of the great Robert Englund below to visit our WOH Gallery, which features dozens of images from the big show including shots from the following panels: Never Sleep Again, Hatchet II, The Human Centipede: First Sequence, the Re-Animator reunion, the Jason get-together, and more!
The good folks over at Creation are doing their damnedest to make sure that this weekend's con will be a show that fans in attendance will never forget! More guests have been added, and we've got the whole schedule for you right here so you can make sure that you don't miss a single thing!
In the LA area and wondering what to do this weekend? Dudes and dudettes, if you're a horror fan, then trust us ... get your asses to the Creation Weekend of Horrors!
The clock is ticking away, and if you haven't done so already, we suggest you get your asses in gear and get your tix for the Creation Weekend of Horrors as the show is gonna be a veritable MONSTER!
Another addition to what's shaping up to be the mother of all Re-Animator reunions has been made! You can add Dr. Dan Cain himself, Bruce Abbott, to the festivities, which also include appearances by Barbara Crampton, Robert Sampson, Stuart Gordon, Jeffrey Combs, and Dennis Paoli.
Things just got a lot sweeter for Re-Animator fans! In their quest to put on one big ass-kicking convention, those lovable sickos at Creation's Weekend of Horrors have just brought in some more West created firepower!
With all the nonsense swirling about on other sites about casting, start dates, etc., it's hard to know exactly what's true and what's not. Do we cover it? Should we cover it? We've consumed a ton of aspirin over the last week as a result. I can tell you that this will be the final mention of Re-Animator 3D here until someone signs a damned contract.
Just about a week ago we told you about an interview in which producer Ray Haboush spoke about a supposed
Re-Animator redux in 3D. Now we are here to tell you that it all could have been a load of crap.
