Possession
Big red is at it again with yet another poor soul being tortured by him and his demonic henchmen! That's right, kids! Grab your bible and light your candles. A man of The Cloth is on his way with bad intentions.
We already knew Ashley Bell would be back for the sequel to The Last Exorcism, and now comes word as to who will be behind the camera barking contortion orders to her: Ed Gass-Donnelly (This Beautiful City, Small Town Murder Songs) has been tapped to direct the R-rated follow-up to the 2010 PG-13 film.
It always seems that pregnant women make for great horror movie subjects. Rosemary's Baby and Inside come to mind immediately. We now have the first official image for director Brian Netto's upcoming preggo film, Delivery. It's currently in post-production so keep an eye out for the film's official release date, which will be announced shortly, and until then dig the new still.
If there's one thing that worked in The Last Exorcism, it was the chilling and stunning performance of lead Ashley Bell. She absolutely hit it out of the proverbial park, and it looks like she'll be coming back for more!
Joining the ranks of The Final Destination, Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, and of course Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter is the cinéma vérité style chiller The Last Exorcism, proving once and for all that NOTHING is ever final.
Let us just get this out of the way. We hate kids. They don't shut up, unmercifully break all your stuff, puke, shit, and piss themselves on a regular basis, and to top it all off now they can be possessed by evil spirits before they even get here! Screw having these things!
And there it is. Our favorite headline of the day. What we have here, folks, is yet another flick looking to take its place at the possession table. Will it deliver the goods? Check out the trailer, and let us know what you think!
It never ceases to amaze me that no matter how hard they try, Hollywood filmmakers cannot even come close to replicating the genius formula that made The Exorcist the classic that it has become. Leave it to an indie guy with a lot of imagination to dole out the goods we've been waiting for ... with a bit of twist. There's always a twist, isn't there?

The full trailer for The Asylum's Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes is here, and in all fairness it looks rather creepy. Total bullshit mind you, but definitely creepy. Could the knock-off kings actually make a decent movie?
The tragic story of the late 1970's exorcism of a young German girl named Anneliese Michel was the basis of the 2005 horror film The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Previously only a few photographs and audio tapes of Anneliese's exorcisms existed. Now, out of the blue, word comes that alleged footage of the Anneliese exorcisms is coming to DVD on March 1st.
"Whadja puke on the carpet for, man? It really tied the room together, ya know? Now it's gone. That's it! I cast thee out, man!" Oh, how I wish this one could play out just like that! The devil is going to once again get his cinematic due, but this time he'll be facing off with his greatest enemy yet ... The Dude!
