The Interrogation of Cheryl CooperAs big fans of Albert Pyun’s Infection (aka Invasion), we’ve been anxiously awaiting more details on his upcoming The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper, another one-take film that the director recently completed.

He dropped us a line with an early look at Interrogation‘s new official key art plus the skinny on its premiere, which is happening October 30th at 8 PM at the Galaxy Theater at Green Valley in Henderson, Nevada.

The screening will also include a special sneak peek of Cyborg Nemesis, also directed by Pyun, and will be followed at 11 PM by the 2014 PollyGrind “Victory” Awards Ceremony.  There will be a red carpet beforehand with a Halloween theme, and costumes are welcome! CLICK HERE for tickets.

Pyun told us, “It’s a very unique found footage film, like Infection, but intense with a twist to the story. Nothing is what it seems. One shot, no edits with some great camera work, lighting, exquisite music/sound design, and incredible performances. It’s creepy and shocking. There are things that echo the ‘Cheryl Cooper’ character in Infection, although she is played by a different actress. Did the scenes in Infection really happen? The Interrogation of Cheryl Cooper puts the events of Infection in a different light. It’s disturbing. Eventually Infection begins to bleed through… literally. That’s how the horror comes… it seeps in. Even the actors and shoot crew have no idea how it ends. But everyone will on October 30th!”

Tommie Vegas stars as Cheryl Cooper with Shane Ryan as Detective Ben and Brittany Bochart as Deputy Bardo. PollyGrind 2014 runs October 16-18; click the link for additional info, including the full lineup.

Synopsis
A young woman name Cheryl Cooper (Tommie Vegas) wakes up in what she believes is an interrogation room in a police station. She is interrogated by Detective Ben (Shane Ryan) about being found at an unfinished Las Vegas hotel where there was a mass killing. The Detective is assisted by a young female rookie police officer named Officer Bardo (Brittany Bochart). Both try to get the details from Cheryl, and as they do, Cheryl begins to remember horrifying details that lead to the reveal of a terrifying fact.

If all that isn’t enough to entice you, EACH person who buys a ticket to the event will land a speaking role (if they are a member of SAG) or be featured as an extra in Pyun’s next film, Algiers (see the teaser art below), which begins shooting January 19th in Los Angeles. The ticket buyer just has to show a stub or receipt, and he or she will get a part, no auditions.

Keep your eyes on Albert Pyun’s Facebook page for more info on the screening and how you can be a part of Algiers.
