After a boffo week of horror title releases, we are back to slim pickings. Only one title this week is worthy of the amount of attention that we have given it. Hint ... it's home to lots of snapping jaws and more boobs than the Playboy Mansion!

That's right, kids! In honor of the January 11th, 2011 release date of one of our favorite films of the year, Piranha 3D, we've got lots of goodies to tide you over! Dig it! From the Press Release

Each year the acclaimed nude celebrity website Mr. Skin releases its top 10 nude scenes of the year list, and horror is riding high on the 2010 edition! That's right, the number one nude scene of the year has gone to Kelly Brook and Riley Steele in Piranha 3D for their swim of seduction. Come on! 3D lesbo action with two hot chicks wearing nothing but flippers? How could it lose?

One film which absolutely delighted us this year with its brash trashiness was Piranha 3D. If you saw it, then you know exactly what we're talking about. One of the film's promotional highlights was an interview with the always entertaining Ving Rhames, and as the sequel, Piranha 3DD, approaches things aren't so crystal clear as to his character's fate. Could he return?

September, 2011 is going to be one hell of a fishy month for horror fans! Relativity's still-to-be-renamed Shark Night 3D will be swimming through theatres, and just two weeks later on September 16, 2011, Dimension's toothy sequel Piranha 3DD will be taking a bite out of the box office.

Ever since Piranha 3DD (Double D! Get it?) was announced weeks ago we've all been sweaty with anticipation as to what to expect from the sequel penned by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan and directed by John Gulager. This is a trio of madmen, folks, so come next August we can assure you all manner of lunacy shall be wrought in theatres.

The most blissfully trashy and fun film of the year will be hitting home video to kick off the new year in January, and we've got the skinny on what you'll be able to expect! From the Press Release

We said it before, and we'll say it again. Piranha 3D was the most fun we had in theatres in years. It was everything we wanted ... violent, sexy, and deliciously sleazy. It was so good in fact that Condit, Debi, and I stayed in the theatre for back-to-back screenings. We just couldn't help ourselves. Now the flick is coming home.

Piranha 3DD: It's a gimmicky title that sounds more appropriate to a Jim Wynorski sex comedy. One can only speculate what implications that title might have when it comes to the eye-popping 3D sequences we'll be seeing next August when the rushed sequel opens in theaters nationwide courtesy of the crew responsible for Feast.

Dinner for Fiends is back to serve up its latest fast-paced, jam-packed edition. The Last Exorcism. Piranha 3D. Resident Evil: Afterlife. Machete. Devil. ABC's "Wipeout".

One of the highlights of Piranha 3D was the death of the smarmy Joe Francis-like character played by Jerry O'Connell, and the producers have decided to take Piranha 3D 2 to the next level by having fans help select which "celebrity" they want to see offed next.

Now that the blood and boobs extravaganza Piranha 3D (review here) has had a few weeks to settle into the multiplexes for a hopefully nice long end-of-summer run, the final piece of the puzzle has arrived: Trembles' Motion Picture Purgatory take on the flick. Piranha 3D is directed by Alexandre Aja and stars Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Jerry O'Connell, Kelly Brook, Riley Steele, Steven R. McQueen, Jessica Szohr, Paul Scheer, Adam Scott, Christopher Lloyd, and Richard Dreyfuss.
