Earlier today we announced the DVD and Blu-ray release of Daniel Stamm's The Last Exorcism (review here), and while the movie itself is certainly spooky enough, apparently the making of the special features on the disc itself is even scarier.

Daniel Stamm's The Last Exorcism (review here) was a late summer hit with horror fans looking to raise a little hell, and now the flick is coming home to DVD and Blu-ray in grand fashion! From the Press Release:

The only thing that can soften the horrendous news that Vampires Suck made more money for the second week in a row than Piranha 3D (thanks for bringing us one step closer to Idiocracy, brain dead America) is Lionsgate's terror tale The Last Exorcism nabbing the top honors at the box office this weekend. I guess the devil made us do it! According to Box Office Mojo the flick opened with a very healthy estimated $21.3 million. At least theatre-goers get it right sometimes.

Ashley Bell isn't a household name just yet, but if there's any justice in the world, that will all change after this weekend when Lionsgate releases Daniel Stamm's The Last Exorcism.

Eli Roth is known for being the guy who put the gore back in horror. Before Cabin Fever hit theaters in the early 2000s, the theatrical landscape from our beloved genre was looking a little bleak. Once Roth unleashed the film, his clever and creepy gorefest set in the woods, fans knew that the times, they were a-changing.
