The Canal Flows to a Theatrical Release in the UK and Ireland

Ivan Kavanagh’s acclaimed supernatural thriller The Canal (review) is getting a limited UK and Ireland theatrical release that begins this Friday, and we have the details for our friends across the pond right here.
After screening at over 30 international festivals, including Busan and Fantasporto, where star Rupert Evans won Best Actor, The Canal will open on ten screens on May 8th. It’s being distributed by Kaleidoscope in the UK and Eclipse in Ireland.
Evans’ co-stars include Antonia Campbell-Hughes (Under the Skin) and Steve Oram (Kill List).
Synopsis:
A film archivist is driven insane after newsreel footage reveals that the home he shares with his wife and son was the scene of a brutal murder.
