Good news for those of us looking forward to the next feature film adaptation of Stephen King’s It – the film is finally entering pre-production, with plans on going behind cameras this June in New York, reports Production Weekly.

“True Detective’s” Cary Fukunaga is at the directorial helm of this film that is set to go places that the 1990 TV mini-series simply was not able to. This second adaptation of the classic novel will be split into two (or maybe three) parts, chronicling the childhood and then adult life of the main characters. At this time Fukunaga is only attached to direct the first part. Seth Grahame-Smith, David Kajganich and Chase Palmer penned the new feature for Warner Bros.
