Theatre-going-wise the last few weeks have sucked for horror fans. There’s been nothing, and I mean nothing, going on. God forbid Lionsgate would have released Repo during this dry spell when it could have made some cash. Anyways, if you’re in the California area, we’ve got something for you to do!
Bloody Disgusting, in association with Dark Sky Films, will be hosting a one-night only screening of Shiver, a Spanish horror film from the producer of Pan’s Labyrinth and The Orphanage. The screening will take place Thursday, September 25th, at 7:30 pm at Laemmle Sunset 5 (8000 Sunset Blvd., W. Hollywood, CA 90046) – and is completely FREE. If you wish to attend, all you have to do is send YOUR NAME and YOUR GUEST’S NAME here. You will then receive an e-mail confirmation when approved.
Shiver is the story of a lonely teenager named Santi who suffers from extreme photophobia. To avoid sunlight, he moves with his mother to a far-off village in the mountains, only to discover after they arrive that locals and livestock have started turning up butchered. And now Santi is the main suspect. To prove his innocence he will be forced to unearth the terrible secret that’s hidden deep in the woods.
Hope to see you there!
