One of the beast theatre experiences some of us DC’ers had was when Feast (review) got a very limited release. Seeing so much insane gore and monster dongs on a huge screen just can’t be topped.
Or can it?
Andrew Kasch checked in from Comic-Con with some news about Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds and Feast 3: The Happy Finish. The first sequel is reported to be more light hearted than the original, with the setting taking place in the day time. However, don’t think that will impact the gore. We’re told the blood will be flying like before even with Feast 2 being more slapstick.
Feast 3 will be the opposite of it’s predecessor with a darker, seedier setting. According to the franchises director, John Gulager, the third will “take us down the rabbit hole“, literally. The film will take place below the surface.
The best news is about hybrids. Starting in Feast 2, the monsters will start breeding with people and animals. Holy damn!
Finally, when the Feast 2 DVD is released on October 7th, one of the special features will be a commentary with John Gulager.
