Electric Tiki, in association with 20th Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising, has announced that “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” will be the 10th show to be memorialized in their “Tooned Up” series of collectibles.
“I am a huge fan of Joss Whedon’s ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and am excited to get the opportunity to re-interpret the Buffyverse in animated form,” says Electric Tiki founder Tracy Mark Lee. “I’m also excited because it’s the most current show we’ve added to our ‘Tooned Up’ line. Buffy has a huge fan base, and we hope they will be open to our unique take on these beloved characters.”
As one might expect, Buffy is the first member of the group to be represented, but Electric Tiki is looking to the fans for future character suggestions. One possibility is to release a hero and a big bad at the same time.
Be sure to visit Electric Tiki’s official site for preliminary concept sketches — and to vote for your choices. Final concepts will be posted upon approvals.
