First Look at The Road

The first image from John Hilcoat’s The Road, an adaptation of the book by Cormac McCarthy, showed up yesterday over on a site called Row Three. As you can see, we have Viggo Mortensen attempting to comfort his son. Very touching.
The Road depicts Mortensen as a father attempting to get his son to safety, but he has to cross a post-apocalyptic wasteland to make that happen. Along with the usual dangers one would meet in such an environment, there are cannibals hot on their heals and hungry for meals.
Dimension will release The Road in theaters on November 26th, because nothing says “holidays” like post-apocalyptic cannibal movies … about a father’s love for his son. Keep it here for more from The Road very soon!
