Can I pick ‘em or can I pick ‘em? As many of you regular Dreadites know, I have been a staunch supporter of one bloody beauty known as Shannon Lark. A horror chanteuse who does it all — filmmaker, writer, actress, dancer, internet entrepreneur — this gory gal is one bona fide killer.
Heading up The Chainsaw Mafia for the past few years, Shannon has been making a bid for the horror big time lately. Narrowly missing out on the crown for Miss HorrorFest last season, Ms. Lark went back to work on her other projects such as a feature film script (more on that to come) and working with her zombie dance troupe The Living Dead Girlz until opportunity knocked once again. She has just won the title of Fangoria spokeswoman and will be making appearances throughout the year at related events. Viva la Shannon!
I see big things in this fledgling scream queen’s future. She definitely has the drive, the beauty, and most importantly the talent to take it all the way. So here’s to Shannon and her ascension.
