Dimension Films announced today that John Hillcoat’s take on the Cormac McCarthy novel The Road starring Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Robert Duval, will hit theatres on Turkey Day of 2008!

The story follows the exploits of a man who tries to transport his son to safety after a nuclear holocaust, but it’s just not fallout he has to worry about … there are cannibals on them there roads!

    Hell, what a cast for a movie about cannibals! Especially Mortensen and Pierce; Protagonist and Antagonist? It will be great to se them togheter on screen. Lets remember that Cormac McCarthy also wrote the novel of the haunting No Country For Old Men.
