Well, shit, I sure am glad I waited to do a story on the official French-language Frontiere(s) site, which showed up online a few days back, since Fangoria just got word that the film will be out in theaters on May 2nd, 2008!
As promised, the film will be out NC-17 “Unchanged in any shape or form,” according to After Dark executive vice president Stephanie Caleb. That’s a pretty bold statement considering that some have called this one of the most horrific movies (in a good way) to be seen in a long, long time.
Just how much of a release it will get depends on how many theaters will allow an NC-17 movie in their hallowed halls, so don’t hold your breath that your local googaplex will be showing it. As for the aforementioned official Frontiere(s) official site, make sure you check it out for plethora of good stuff including clips and images!
Wonder if this one will live up to the hype in the Dread Central forums!
