When will we see Zero Dark Thirty? With the elections right around the corner, now would really be the perfect time for a movie like Zero Dark Thirty, the remake of Bob Clark’s Deathdream that Stephen Susco is writing. Unfortuantely is sounds like it’s going to be a while before we’ll be seeing it.

Susco spoke to Bloody Disgusting recently about the project and revealed that it’s still being worked on; ”we’re still trying to get our financing locked up. Though I’ve been a conditional producer on half a dozen projects (“conditional” as in “co-” and “associate”), ZD30 will be the first film I have fully produced.” he told them.

Susco also told the B-D team that before he Writer’s strike he was working on the script for a “Flatliners” TV show (!?) and putting something together that he says would eventually be ”the mother of zombie movies”, based on a the book Monster Island by David Wellington. Hopefully this strike will be over soon, I really wanna see that!

Red, directed by Luck McKee and written by Susco, will be playing as part of this year’s Sundance lineup!
