Of all the strange team-ups that came from the second season of Masters of Horror, the paring of director Dario Argento with singer/thespian Meat Loaf was probably the most odd. Strange that it’s one of the ones that worked the best as Argento’s “Pelts” (DVD review) is definitely among the season highlights.
Nomad chatted with Meat Loaf via telephonic device recently as a chance to promote the DVD release of “Pelts” and discovered that the man is actually not a big fan of our genre at all, not because he thinks there’s anything wrong with it; he just doesn’t have the stomach for horror. How strange, again, that he was in one of the season’s most gore-soaked episodes!
