Aidan Gillen & David Morrissey Ready Themselves for the Blitz

Aidan GillenA few weeks back we told you that Jason Statham had signed on to Elliott Lester’s Blitz, a thriller about a serial killer targeting the police population in South London. Today we’ve got more info, including further casting and distribution.

The Hollywood Reporter lists Aidan Gillen (pictured, 12 Rounds) and David Morrissey (The Reaping) as the latest additions to the cast. Principal photography began yesterday, August 9, and Blitz is scheduled for a release via Lionsgate U.K in 2010.

No word yet on a Stateside release, but we’ll be following this production as it progresses.
