Kurtzman to Live and Die

Robert KurtzmanWow. When Robert Kurtzman said he wanted to return to directing with The Rage (review), his first horror flick since Wishmaster, he really wasn’t fucking around.

With both The Rage and the Dark Lot Entertainment flick Buried Alive now in the can, Fangoria learned that Kurtzman’s moved on to his next director gig; a bigger budget film called To Live and Die. Sean Patrick Flannery (seen most recently in the Masters of Horror ep, “The Damned Thing”) stars as a cop who is hired by the FBI track down a mastermind assassin who is responsible for the death of his wife.

The cast includes the likes of Joey Pants (Joe Pantoliano), Amanda Wyss (Nightmare on Elm Street) and Michelle Greathouse, who will next be seen in the Dark Lot movie Undead or Alive: A Zombedy. Add to that MGM already on board to distribute To Live and Die, and it looks like Kurtzman might be making the move back to bigger budget fare already.

We’ll have more on To Live and Die, which is currently shooting in New Mexico, so stick around!
