Ridley Scott Teases Blade Runner 3

Hands down one of the best films of last year in any genre was director Denis Villeneuve’s sequel to Ridley Scott’s classic Blade Runner. Well, if you enjoyed Blade Runner 2049 as much as I did, then you’ll be happy to know that original director Ridley Scott already has an idea for a possible third film ready to roll.

“I think there is another story,” Scott said, “I’ve got another one ready to evolve and be developed, so there is certainly one to be done for sure.”

Now whether or not we actually get another Blade Runner film is up in the air, to say the least. While the new film made a good amount of cash at the box office, the price tag was just too high to make it a legit hit.

Maybe if they keep the budget down (mostly interiors and whatnot), Blade Runner 3 could be in the cards. I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

Are you excited about the possibility of another Blade Runner film? Let us know below!

Blade Runner 2049 was directed by Denis Villeneuve from a script by Hampton Fancher (who wrote the original) and Michael Green. The script was based off a story by Hampton Fancher, which in was turn based on the original film’s source material, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Phillip K. Dick.
