Video Watchdog guru Tim Lucas is finally unveiling his until-now mythical tome on the work of Italian maestro Mario Bava. Bava, as you better know, was the director behind classics such as Black Sunday (aka The Mask Of Satan), Black Sabbath, Twitch Of The Death Nerve, Blood And Black Lace, The Girl Who Knew Too Much, Lisa And The Devil…should I go on? Lucas has been the voice behind the extremely informative commentaries on the Bava DVD’s we’ve seen drop over the past few years, but even those authorative pieces only hinted at the depth of knowledge and commitment Lucas has for Bava’s work.
